Romani and Romanian dances start the New Year

The New Year begins with Lindy teaching Mahala Mori Shej.  This is a Transylvania/Hungarin Roma dance introduced by Steve Kotansky.

I didn't find a video of the dance, but there are some interesting pictures in the above video.  I always wonder about the stories the people would tell.
